White
Preservation Box
Antique white, acid-free storage
box for all your new baby, christening and confirmation
keepsakes. Gold trim.
Ideal
solution for storing and heirlooming your family christening
gown. Suitable for full length gowns with petticoats and
train. Also vintage gowns requiring extra padding.
Please do ensure
the storage box is suitable for the size of gown before
ordering. Too small and the gown will be squashed
and permanent creasing may occur. Too big and the
gown will slide around too freely and end up in a
crumpled heap at one end of the box. When packing
the dress you should aim to fold as few times as possible.
Fold lines are the places where splitting or shattering
of the fabric may occur over time if poorly packed.
Ideally the box should be long enough to take the
full skirt length (from hem to waist) without folding
and deep enough for the bodice and skirt to lay over
each other without crushing the shape of the gown.
If this is not possible, the skirt can be folded a
second time about the thigh level. Special orders
- if you require a non-standard size gown box pleasecontact
